Prayssac got its name from Priscius, landowner, during the gallo-roman era, the "-ac" ending the name of many villages in the region, originally means "property of" in the Occitan language. Thus "the property of Priscius" evolved into Prayssac.
To discover the beauty of the Lot department, you can go on foot, cycle, sail or use the small train on the beautiful scenic roads etc.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of activities you can engage in when holidaying in Prayssac: you can play pétanque in a shady park, hike, rent a mountain bike in the village, go Fishing, play on one of the two tennis courts in the village and play a few round of Golf : 8 golfs dans un rayon de 90 km (fr)
